| Pub Crawl - CA & OR 2006
Leaving Madera, CA and heading north on 99, we first stopped at Valley
Brewing in Stockton for lunch. We had to make Chico, CA by nightfall in order to attack the massive Sierra Nevada sampler (16 glasses) and it didn't disappoint! Picked up more of the family and headed north on 99, joined I5 in Red Bluff and then split off onto 97 headed northeast to Klamath Falls, OR. Enjoyed the eclectic Mia & Pia's, visited Crater Lake, stayed a week in the Sister's Wilderness backpacking, then freshened up with our first trip ever to the legendary Deschutes Public House in Bend, OR. Upon arriving in the nirvana that is Portland, OR, we started with The Old Lompoc Hedge House, marveled at the historic Bridgeport and finished up with the spacious Lucky Labrador. There were way more breweries than we could handle so we headed out. On our way home south on I5 we stopped in Eugene at Eugene City Brewing/Rogue Brewery. Appetizers but no entree as we saved room for Wild River Brewing & Pizza in Grants Pass. Total: 1,535 miles |
