The
brewery was started in 1995 by Richard R Norgrove, and wife Sandy, Richard
G Norgrove, and wife Tami. In 1996 they opened their first brewpub in the
small town of Healdsburg, 10 minutes north of Santa Rosa and an hour north
of San Francisco.
BR is probably best known for their Racer 5 IPA and Hop Rod Rye but also
brew amazing brews such as Red Rocket Ale, XP Pale Ale, Big Bear Black Stout,
Peter Brown Tribute, Mach10, & Racer X.
BR just returned from the 2010 Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO
where they won a Bronze medal for their Roggenbier, a Barvarian rye, and
a Gold for Ryevalry, an American-Belgo Style Double IPA.

Healdsburg Avenue.
